stars

'Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.'
Romeo and Juliet 3.2.22-4

A was fascinated by a news article about new galaxies and how loads more stars will be born, that reminded me of what Juliet says about Romeo... (quoted above...)

I remember, 3 years ago, one night I walked back to my Halifax room, on my way I noticed it was a gorgeous starry night...I also remember before a friend left York not long ago, he said that he would miss the stars that could easily be seen here, but not where he's from.

He probably doesn't understand how dearly he's the moon in another girl's eyes.

Back in summer 1998, travelling with collegemates in an island called 'green' in the middle of the night we sat by the sea and I remember I sang a song called '星星堆滿天' which means a sky full of stars, although that was a pretty cloudy night..

If the starry sky can look so beautiful just outside of York just imagine what it looks like in the middle of the countryside away from the city's light pollution!

He does not need to be a moon, a star will do, as long as he's there.

a star that meets up with you (being the doomed significant other) only once a year?

a star that shines just on you, but is only a plain stone in others' eyes?

or, a star that facinates you (and perhaps many others)?

you look at this very so-called star so much, forgetting that your own sunshine is so fantasticly gorgeous
