259-264
Jaques: Rosalind is your love’s name?
Orlando: Yes, just.
Jaques: I do not like her name.
Orlando: There was no thought of pleasing you when she was christened.
277-289
Jaques: The worst fault you have is to be in love.
Orlando: ‘Tis a fault I will not change for your best virtue.
Jaques: By my troth, I was seeking for a fool when I found you.
Orlando: He is drowned in the brook. Look but in and you shall see him.
Jaques: There I shall see mine own figure.
Orlando: Which I take to be either a fool, or a cipher.
Jaques: I’ll tarry no longer with you. Farewell good Signior Love.
Orlando: I am glad of your departure. Adieu good Monsieur Melancholy.

stars
'Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.'
Romeo and Juliet 3.2.22-4
A was fascinated by a news article about new galaxies and how loads more stars will be born, that reminded me of what Juliet says about Romeo... (quoted above...)
I remember, 3 years ago, one night I walked back to my Halifax room, on my way I noticed it was a gorgeous starry night...I also remember before a friend left York not long ago, he said that he would miss the stars that could easily be seen here, but not where he's from.
He probably doesn't understand how dearly he's the moon in another girl's eyes.
Back in summer 1998, travelling with collegemates in an island called 'green' in the middle of the night we sat by the sea and I remember I sang a song called '星星堆滿天' which means a sky full of stars, although that was a pretty cloudy night..
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,
And pay no worship to the garish sun.'

Hamlet review

I was offered free tickets to see 'Hamlet' last night. Here's the review on the BBC North Yorkshire website (I've been their student diarist for more than a year now....click here for more) Wish I could just do things like this every day...
<-- Ed Stoppard (Yes, he is Tom Stoppard's son!! Tom Stoppard wrote Shakespeare In Love) as Hamlet in the English Touring Theatre production. Picture taken from the BBC website.
The experience was kind of cool. I just went to the theatre, looked for the marketing manager, then got the free ticket and a free programme, plus a free drink at the interval. Haha. Easily pleased you might say!
