光影筆記本 97 / My Blueberry Nights

Such a stylish film. I will write more after I watch it again. It makes me think a lot about images, about being stylish, and about portraying feelings/emotion using scenes rather than words. I also just realised that Cat Power is in this film too. Of course! How could I not have recognised her!!!


A Wong Kar-Wai film.

J: At the end of every night, cheesecake and apple pies are always completely gone. The peach cobbler and chocolate mousse are nearly finished. But there's always a whole blueberry pie left untouched.

E: So, what's wrong with the blueberry pie?

J: There's nothing wrong with the blueberry pie, it's just that people make other choices. You can't blame the blueberry pie. It's just that no one wants it.
