2006an exceptional beginning

It's January!!

the first few minutes of 2006, I was running in York toward the minster.
we were trying so hard but we missed it.
We almost couldn't find each other, but then we cuddled and drank champange and a Dutch bottle (Gin?) on the street, plus we took loads of hilarious photos.
Oh, we were all laughing like little kids. Feeling great.

Earlier, while there was a party in my house, Lucy recommended me read The Alchemist; I found this on Amazon:

"My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer," the boy confides to the alchemist one night as they look up at a moonless night.
"Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself," the alchemist replies.

Hmm, pretty positive isn't it? :)

In Death Cab for Cutie's 'Transatlanticism' (Richard's CD) the first song is 'the new year' and it's pretty grey, singing:
'So this is the new year and I have no resolutions
It's self-assigned penance for problems with easy solutions
So everybody put your best suit or dress on
Let's make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
Lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn
As 30 dialogues bleed into one'

Ooh, but I kind of like that~~and I'm also going to read the book which Jenny said almost made her cry.

I read The Alchemist early this year because I was trying to practice English reading. Anyway, at the end, I love this novel very much. It's a novel that could inspire a lot of thoughts, different person may be inspired in a very different way. Also I think if I read it again now, I'll have a whole new feeling about it! I like this kind of book.
