European winter (plus Xmas?)

Important news. (ru**ish entry...o)

My brother just announced I'd have to say bye to him at Paris on 22nd Dec. (It'll be my first time to take the Eurostar...)
Where would I go from there?
Quite like an European train journey like in that movie 'Before Sunrise,' but it'll be my first winter there (before I only thought about going to Europe in summer...) so am not sure if I want to be cold and miserable and starving and alone there over Xmas...

Tonight I shall not dream about pages and pages of work and state of anxiety, but loads and loads of snow and Santa Claus...

Exciting, exciting! London-->Paris-->Germany(?)-->Vienna(?)-->Barcelona(?)-->York

husband, I will see you next week. Oh, a question. How long does it take to go to Europe by train? (Thanks..)

around two and a half hour, but you may need to arrive 20 minutes earlier to check in.

both the stamps of leaving UK and arriving in France will be given when you check in, so when you step out of the train in Paris, there will be no further process needed to be done. a lot more simple than taking airplane.

and your luggages are always be with you, or you can put the bigger one in the interval of two trains, where they design specially for big luggage.

But anyway, you will not lose your luggage and wont need to put it in other people's custody.

I don't know, that just make me feel safe and convenient.
