Everyone, listen to this:

We lay on our backs in the grass
Silently watching the rain clouds move by far too fast
You said it was a night where anything could happen
But nothing was gonna last

And we're doing fine now yeah we do
We don't feel sad or bad or blue and you know
We ain't never defeated
Not broken inside all that is fine
Yeah all that is fine

We, we burn our boats each new year
Silently watching the flames and the old life disappear
We're burning new sunrise into yesterday's skies
An ashen fingerprint melts into the sea

I made it! I turned in my first 4 chapters of the damn DISSERTATION! I pulled a all-nighter on Thursday, and after I turned it in on Fri, I went ahead to play badminton for 2 hours, with only 2-hr sleep. And dinner, and then crashed in my bed when I got home.

Now, I am ready for a fun weekend.

I also like Beth Orton. She is such a down to earth girl. Ah, wish you were here, so you would go to DCfC gig w/ me 2morrow.

My sun!

I wish I were there too to go to the gigs with you...

I'm ill so basically didn't do anything at all today, (was meant to be going to visit Jens) but my housemate was excellent! He was so caring that I recovered in no time. I'm lucky...

Music that we listened to tonight:
frente!
Jeff Buckley
Matthew Jay
Kula Shaker

We're practing singing frente!'s 'labour of love' so one day we'll perform it in a bar! Can this be real, wow... 'why do i feel that i can never find you, why do i feel i'm the only survivor...'

Let me know all about the DCfC gig!

I love Beth Orton too. Do you know the song 'Concrete Sky'?

Yes and I like several of her songs... like her songs with the chemical brothers!

Stars all seem to weep

Stay true to the things I knew when I was younger,
When food and love was all there left to hunger.
It's when I stray from that truth as I grow older,
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger.

I think about you on a moon lit night and the stars all seem to weep.
When there's so much love to lose there's never any time for sleep.
Look at me doing all these things without you we always left, And you were untrue;

Whereas where we tried hard not to go to,
I think that's how I finally came through.
All the things we took for granted the words still live on in my head,
All the times I took for granted all the words I never said,
I think about you in the moon lit night and the stars all seem to weep.

When there's so much love to you there's never any time for sleep,
So I stay true to the things I knew when I was younger,
When you and love was all there left to hunger.

It's when I stray from the truth as I grow older,
Too much leaves an empty hollow hunger,
Too much leaves an emptying hunger,
Living without you,
Living without you,
Living without you.
