光影筆記本 81 / An Inconvenient Truth

After watching this film, I think I agree with Al Gore's argument that global warming is a big moral challenge facing everyone in our times. The dire situation will still go worse, but this shall not stop us from taking actions--personally we must face the issue and at least try to do something like switching off the light when not in use; on a greater scale, we need decent policy makers who really can take environmental protection seriously, and come up with effective ways to help deal with pollutions and natural backlash. The whole thing is scary but feeling the fear doesn't help much. I don't think that's the point here, either. No one should be overtly optimistic about this, but I think Al Gore hopes to raise the awareness of this 'inconvenient truth' and from there people could all remind themselves that it is everyone's responsibility to save the planet.
