光影筆記本 76 / THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP

Yes, yes, at the moment, look at the poster. I will write a bit more about it real soon. Plus, listen to the soundtrack, will you? [Click me] (Especially 'Golden the Pony Boy') Enjoy!

Friendly bloggers' reviews:

It’s about a guy, Stephane (Gael García Bernal), who falls for his neighbour, Stephanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg), after discovering that they share a creative and imaginative perspective on life; however, Stephane is tormented by an inability to separate dreams from reality. The result is a very surreal film full of bizarre dream sequences that seamlessly flow throughout. -- Red Hot Chilli Project

There is nothing scientific about the film's handling of dreams except for the occasional references to Freud (assuming that you do not immediately dismiss the psychoanalyst as a quack). -- Schaufensterpuppen

I've just got the DVD of this to watch. It looks like a really interesting film.

So have you watched it? Blog it! I quite like Stephene. He seems quite real to me, although his imagination goes too far...

I watched it at the weekend. Not amazing, but it was good. I also liked Stephane. I found myself warming to the character despite his troubles and inappropriate behaviour, he seemed very real. There's a review on my blog.
