光影筆記本53/In Search of Mozart

A bit too long, but it did not cancel out the excellence of Mozart's music being played in the docu-film. (To be honest, it's not very docu... it's not completely historical, but extremely educational for people ignorant like me...I don't think experts or big Mozart fans or music students would have enjoyed this film at all) Anyways. So pleasant to hear a bit of K 622 Clarinet concerto again-->this really (again) makes me want to buy a clarinet!! And the Turkish Rondo! Oh I want to go to the piano room right now....Those operas made me think of my brother and our 'Un Ballo in Masquera' in London. I do like operas, I simply have to go to more. 'The Magic Flute' looked really interesting, and surprise, surprise, it was being compared to Shakespeare's plays, haha, well, because of its form of plot.

Desperately wanting more of Mozart's music now! Can anyone lend me some more or play me some!!

Funny fact: I bumped into blue-eyed-Mike~~ ha, the fun of going to cinema on my own. He said he didn't really enjoy the film tho. Well, he didn't really say that but that was what he meant.

It might be interesting for some to know some facts about Mozart, for example, his birthday is 27 Jan (for people like me, this is important...) and this is the 250 anniversary, but, all in all, I guess I just want to enjoy the music and wasn't intrigued being told about Mozart's family, his writing tone in his letters, or even which opera was first performed in which city.

Plus, I didn't feel any sense of quest throughout the 128min... whereas this piece of news is more like searching:
Scientists prepare to share the secret of Mozart's skull

Surely there are loads of events in Austria this year!! Let's go there!!

I'm going to dream about Mozart tonight because we were shown all available portraits of this musical soul.

Wanyu, the other Jonathan Coe book I've read is The Rotters' Club, which I really enjoyed. I do hope you like What A Carve UP! This guy wrote a new book quite recently too~~ I've seen it in Waterstone's.
