my language is cool

I was brought up in a bilingual family; even tho Chinese is the language I use the most often, having been able to speak Taiwanese is nice too. Tomorrow I'm going to our linguistics department to do an informant session with people there, which is really exciting!! I'm very proud of my languages indeed!! :)

The picture, I think, gives you an idea of what Taiwanese sounds like (speaking this to non-Taiwanese-speakers)... from now on when you see a duck on campus you'll know it's an 'ah' or '鴨' in Taiwanese/Chinese character.... (don't they go 'ah~ah~ah' all the time?! that's why they're called 'ah''s I think....)

Wanyu, are you serious? Did you find them strange when you first saw them then?
